very little character development in films today
Have you ever noticed that there is very little character development in films today? The light and composition are great. Camera movement and editing are very moving. However, the actors portrayal appear to be one dimensional. What ever happen to film styles of Citizen Kane or Film Noir. We have the technology to blow the old film makers out of the water, but the character development has a lot to be desired. Are we so dead as a society that our arts forms lack the human condition? If I'm wrong here, suggest 5 films made in the last 5 years that compare to films in the past.
